In 2015, JD.com launched the JD Worldwide platform to connect international businesses to the Chinese consumer. The JD Worldwide channel was established in response to China’s 2014 Cross-Border eCommerce laws, which relaxed B2C regulation for international eCommerce imports into China.

In June 2015, JD.com founder and CEO Richard Liu visited Australia to launch the JD Worldwide Australia Mall over a series of roadshow events across Australia’s capital cities. The events took place in parallel with a series of Austrade seminars, aiming to educate Australian business owners how best to take advantage of the 2015 China-Australia Free Trade Agreement.

JD approached us to organise the JD WW Australia Mall roadshow, in which we were able to secure many esteemed guests. In attendance was the Honourable Malcolm Turnbull, Minister for Small Business Bruce Billson, philanthropist Sid Myer, JD Worldwide General Manager Tony Qiu, ABC News anchor Michael Rowland, the Honourable NSW Minister for Trade Stuart Ayers and former Australian Parliament member Dr John Hewson, among others.
